James Simpson WIGGINS Services were held Sunday at First Baptist Church of Winona for James H. "Ham" Simpson, 88, Winona, who died July 3, 1997, in Wiggins. Interment was in the Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Mr. Simpson was a retired from the U.S.
Postal Service after 40 years service, nine of which he served as postmaster. He was a member of the Winona Rotary club, First Baptist Church of Winona and the men's Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary W. Simpson, two brothers, John M. Simpson and William Harvey Simpson.

Crowder received a bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, a masters in education from Colorado State University and his doctoral degree from Texas University. He was formerly an assistant professor of industrial education at USM and is listed in Who's Who in Industrial Arts Teacher Education. Dr. Crowder was a professor of technology and industrial education in the College of Applied Science and Technology at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City for 26 years. He was a member of numerous professional associations and was a consultant for the Experimental Aircraft Association.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Carol Crowder of Welford, S.C., Melanie Crowder Merhoff of Knoxville and Krisna Emily Crowder of Johnson City; a son, Alan Gene Crowder of Johnson City; his mother, Lola Coates Crowder of Kosciusko; and a brother, Dr. Laurin Peyton Crowder of Starkville.
